360° video editing and stitching
Before the recorded footage can be enriched in the Vivista Editor, it must be stitched and possibly edited. To do this, the camera specific software must be used, as it will automatically recognize the files and connect them correctly. This software is usually available free of charge, on the website of the camera brand and/or type.
Before one can stitch and possibly edit the footage, the content must be present on the laptop/computer. If the 360° video camera has a fixed built-in amount of memory, a USB cable will be present to connect the 360° video camera to the laptop/computer. This makes it possible to transfer the footage from one device to another. If the 360° video camera uses external memory cards (usually a micro SD card), it is possible to use a card reader. In this case, the memory card must be inserted into the card reader and then connected to the laptop/computer. This makes it again possible to transfer the content from one device to another.
As soon as the footage is present on the laptop / computer, it can be stitched and edited in the camera specific software. In the video below, this process is explained.
